Jubilees are for celebrating. God created us for freedom and joy. Sin brought bondage and death. The Pharaoh made Israel work seven days a week from sun up to sun down. God freed them and instituted the Sabbath to force his people to take a day off. What a change! Jesus is the ultimate liberator, the new Jubilee! Sunday is a Jubilee and it is to free us for the full life in Christ. How should we live out the Christian Jubilee and freedom in Christ?
